Shoulder Pain

"I have been doing medical billing for 13 years. I was diagnosed with carpal tunnel syndrome in 1993. My doctor, at the time prescribed the medication, Naproxen and wrist splints.

Beginning with my new employment in May 2002, I started having burning sensations, numbness and constant pain in both hands continuing to my shoulders. I was scheduled for a nerve conduction study. At this point I was wearing the wrist splints and taking Naproxen morning and night.

My visit with the neurologist wasn't a pleasant one. He informed me that I would need surgery ASAP as I had bilateral carpal tunnel syndrome. I explained that surgery was not an option!

I began seeing Dr. Stewart, at the bidding of two of my co-workers –also patient’s of his- with pain levels of up to 8 on a 0-10 scale. Within 3 months, my pain levels dropped to approximately a 4. I continue to treat with Dr. Stewart and for the last year, my pain levels have remained at 2 or less and this only occurs about once a month. I can now function 98% of the time without pain and I don’t take medications anymore. I am truly grateful for this new technique."
